Welcome to the Junior Golf Program at Pine Ridge. Each winter we review the successes of the past year’s programs, and make the necessary program modifications, to ensure that your children receive the most “results proven” instruction with ample time for course play, peer competition and most of all – FUN. We feel that this year’s agenda more than satisfies these goals. We have separated the Junior Golf Activities into two separate programs. First, the “Birdie” program, and second the “Par” program. Each program is geared to the anticipated needs of the children. Both programs are limited to youngsters ages eight to seventeen. Details for each program are outlined below. In addition to our wonderful “Birdie” and “Par” programs of classes, we will be offering our summer series of Junior Golf Camps once again. Details for each program are outlined below:
THE BIRDIE PROGRAM
The BIRDIE Program is designed for the junior golfer who has a set of clubs and some prior golfing experience. The focus will be on both skill development and on-course competition. Progress is measured not only by skill development but also by completion of the US KIDS workbooks which are provided at registration. A registration form must be completed to particiapte in the Birdie Program. Download a registration form. Fill out the form, and return the completed form to the Pine Ridge Pro Shop.
Fees for the Birdie Program:
Registration Fee: $30.00
Each Weekly Clinic: $10.00
Each Tournament: $12.00
Clinics are limited to the first twenty-four students who sign up in each division. Juniors may sign up by Clicking Here. Please note that junior golfers must register for all sessions that they wish to attend. Parents are responsible for payment if the student registers and fails to attend.

The PAR Program is intended for those students new to the game (little or no prior golf experience). There is no registration fee and clinics are offered weekly on an a la carte basis. The cost for each weekly clinic is $10.00. The clinics will cover the fundamentals of the grip, aim, stance, etc… as well as the various swing skills (chipping, putting, and full swing). The fundamental rules of golf and golf etiquette are also introduced.
Weekly clinics are limited to the first twenty-four students who sign up for that time period. Juniors may sign up by Clicking Here. Please note that junior golfers must register for all sessions that they wish to attend. Parents are responsible for payment if the student registers and fails to attend.
Clinic times are: 3:30 – 4:15 pm

JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS
Time: 8:50 am – 2:00 pm
Cost: $350
Ages: 7-17
Student/Instructor ratio: 7:1
Our goal is to establish a solid foundation for each junior whether they are brand new to the game or an experienced player. Our approach to the game is two-fold. The fundamentals will be stressed everyday so that every participant will have learned the importance of a good grip, set-up, posture, alignment, short game and full swing fundamentals. We also emphasize the "play" aspect of the game. Some juniors are more competitive than others. We encourage and challenge these children in different ways than we might juniors who are not so competitive in nature. We hope that each junior graduates camp with a love for the game that will last a lifetime.
